OUR activitIES
Regular services
Sundays

We meet for our main worship services at 10.30 am & 2.00 pm on Sundays at Malabar Community Centre.
We aim to worship our great God with both reverence and joy, and our services include a mix of the best worship songs, traditional and contemporary.
Our services are easy to follow and full of the Bible and of Christ, and we are keen to listen to preaching that clearly unpacks the Bible and carefully applies it to our everyday lives. Our afternoon service is more interactive, often with group Bible study and open prayer.
Space is available for parents with young children to sit and listen to the morning service while their children play. During the afternoon service twice a month we run 'Connect plus' for school years 7-9 to explore what Bible says about Life.

Every Sunday we enjoy lunch together between the services, as a family united in Christ. We bring our own lunch, but there's always plenty spare for visitors!
On the first Sunday of the month our 2 pm service takes a more informal style, with opportunities for others to share of their own dealings with God, and to ask questions (grill the pastor!).

Midweek meetings
We meet alternately for prayer and Bible study at 7.30 - 9.00 pm on Tuesdays in a local home (contact for details).
Our Bible studies are thought-provoking interactive discussions, where we aim to apply Sunday's message to us more deeply.
other regular activities
Hope Church Truro exists to glorify God by worshipping and serving him, loving one another and making him known.
We have a variety of activities in our church life. We aim to care for those who join us, with different opportunities for meeting up through the month. We are also eager to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have not yet discovered his life-transforming power for themselves; check out our courses if you would like to discover more.

City-centre outreach
Every week (weather-dependent) a team of us head out into the city-centre with our flag and literature stall, on Lemon Quay. We have a variety of free leaflets and books about the Christian faith, and give out our own specially designed leaflets to as many people as will receive them. Our aim is specifically to tell people the good news of Jesus, and to encourage them to turn to him for forgiveness and everlasting life.
Every Wednesday, 10.30 am – 4 pm
Hope for Truro
Once a month, on Friday mornings, we hire a comfortable room in the Hall for Cornwall and run a coffee morning for passers-by. We invite people in for free coffee and cake, and sit down with them to talk about the Christian message of hope in Jesus. A table with free literature is also available.
Every 3rd Friday, 10.30 am – 12.30 pm
DHL suite, Hall for Cornwall (access from Boscawen Street)

Ladies' breakfast
Once a month the ladies of the church meet together for a tasty breakfast followed by a Bible-based study and prayer, in a local home.
First Saturday of the month 8.30 – 10.00 am
Men's fellowship
Every so often the men of the church get together for an informal time of fellowship, usually culminating in a hearty meal. Past activities have included ten-pin bowling, tennis coaching and a Philippino meal.

Ladies' prayer meeting
Once a month the ladies of the church meet together for coffee and prayer, in the comfort of a local home.
Every 3rd Thursday, 10.30 am – 12.00 pm
Serving the community
As followers of Jesus, we want to share what we have with those in need, and help those in Truro who are struggling financially. So once a month we take a collection of food and other household goods from the church and donate to Truro Food Bank.
Second Sunday of the month

Gospel partnership in St Just
In partnership with St Just Free Church (near Lands End), we run our literature table in St Just town centre once a month, to engage locals with the gospel of Jesus, and encourage them along to the Free Church.
Tuesdays, 10.30 am - 2.30 pm
